We've Got A Convoy!"

Our convoy of trucks will leave for Friendswood Texas on September 21st with a delivery date of September 23rd where an Operation Endeavor/Rotary of Liberty, NY/Sullivan County Community College/Catskill Regional Medical Center team will rendezvous there and help with distribution.

ALL PRESS AND MEDIA are invited to the Central Collection Site in front of Harold Gold Founder's Hall on the SUNY Sullivan Campus on Wednesday, September 20 between the hours of 9 AM - 4 PM.

The Hurricane Relief Supply Collection Drive is continuing as there are collection sites throughout Sullivan, Orange, Dutchess and Wayne, PA counties as well as in Waterbury, CT. All sites resume collection on Monday, 9/18 and must have donated items collect by the EOB on Tuesday, 9/19. All collection sites will be delivering their collected supplies to the SUNY Sullivan campus on Wednesday, 9/20 between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM where two 20 foot box trucks donated by Rolling V Bus Corp. will be loaded to take off to Friendswood, Texas on Thursday, 9/21. Volunteers from the Liberty and Monticello Rotary Clubs, SUNY Sullivan student body, CRMC and Operation Endeavor will be there boxing and loading the trucks.

A five member team representing the Liberty Rotary Club (and all of Rotary District 7210), Operation Endeavor, SUNY Sullivan and CRMC/ORMC will be traveling to Texas to rendezvous with the donated supplies when they arrive in Friendswood, Texas on Saturday, 9/23. Team members are Charles Atwell (Operation Endeavor), Charles Lee Miller (Operation Endeavor, Liberty Rotary and CRMC), Gary Siegel (Liberty Rotary Club, Operation Endeavor), Rosemary Guerra (SUNY Sullivan Student Government President) and Peter Blakey (Liberty Rotary Club). Volunteers from the Friendswood Rotary Club, Volunteer Fire Department and community members will be in Friendswood to unload the trucks and deliver the donated supplies to those in need. In addition the trucks will be delivering donated supplies to Common Threads in Rosenberg, TX, a 501.c.3 not for profit organization that is supporting the hurricane victims by collecting supplies and distributing them to those in need.

The response to help those in need has been absolutely amazing. The generosity of so many businesses, organizations and individuals shows how so many want to do their part to help those hurricane victims in need. Wayne County Ford plans on delivering 5 full pickup truck loads of supplies and Fallsburg HS has collected 164 cases of water that will be delivered to SUNY Sullivan on Wednesday. All the collection sites have been asked to supply a general inventory list by the EOB on Monday 9/18 so that organizers have an idea what to expect for the Wednesday boxing and loading session.
